Jay Richard is a Toronto-based actress, singer, dancer, and songwriter, and she’s just getting started. Trained in musical theatre, jazz, pop, and classical singing, Jay brings powerhouse vocals, magnetic acting, and dynamic dance skills to every stage and screen performance. She recently completed the prestigious Integrated Conservatory Certificate program at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), one of the top performing arts schools in North America.
Originally from Atlantic Canada, Jay discovered her passion for theatre at age 9 in The Music Man and has since appeared in over 20 productions. Her standout roles include Katherine in Newsies, Heather Chandler in Heathers, Cat in the Hat in Seussical: The Musical, Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical, and originating The Granddaughter in Kate Cayley’s This is Nowhere.
On screen, Jay recently starred as Sasha, a main character in the feature film Autumn Hill by Screecher Films, showcasing her talent in film acting and on-camera performance. Off-stage, she is an emerging pop and musical artist, with multiple demos ready and plans to release new music this year.
